The book is an outcome of Dr Udai Pareek's rich worldwide experience of more than 50 years with diverse organisations, HRD professionals, researchers, students, and trainers.

Celebrating its vast readership for over two decades, the book caters to Indian HRD professionals, trainers, consultants and researchers. He was a distinguished visiting professor at the Indian Institute of Health Management Research, and also vice-president of its management board.

He was fellow of the Indian Society of Extension Education. He was the first editor of Vikalpa and was on the editorial boards of Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization and Group Studies, Psychologia, etc.

He authored and edited about 50 books and about papers. He received several national awards, and has been cited in a large number of national and international reference books. She is a consultant to various institutes and organisations for personal and organisational effectiveness.

She has authored and edited nine books and has 40 papers, reviews and articles to her credit in national and international journals. She has supervised 14 students for PhD who have been awarded degrees. She has developed a number of instruments for parents, teachers and students. She has also received Lifetime Education Achievement Award. She has conducted various workshops for various groups such as parents, teachers, students, managers, etc.
