DSPS is a one-stop Center to enhance success of all students with documented disabilities.

They are as follows: Orientation allows you to learn about financial aid, registration, tutoring services, important locations on campus, types of degrees, and more, helping you adjust to your new college. An Education Plan helps you identify the courses required to complete your goals and the best order in which to take them in, helping to determine the amount of time and money you will need to invest in your education and take the most direct route from start to finish.

Follow-up services are developed to make sure you stay on track and continue to evaluate your process. Paying for college is a big challenge. The important thing is to take advantage of all the resources that are available to you. The process begins by submitting the application or inquiring about it in the Financial Aid Office. Whether you are a new, returning student, or continuing student to college it is important that you get assistance on ways to pay for your education.

Remember to check your emails and your student portal for any updates. As part of the program, Puente students take English and Counseling 5 in the fall semester. They then take English 1A and Counseling 7 in the spring semester. During both semesters, Puente students take part in events, such as trips to university campuses, and also receive mentoring from local professionals.

Puente students work closely with their Puente counselor to transfer to a four-year school. This is a fall start program and students must enroll before the semester begins.
